Containing hand-made pom poms to shower the newlywed couple with, these lunch sack wedding programs combine craftiness with memories of recess romance. However one detail remains unclear—do the pom poms come in white or wheat?

Due to the thin, sans-serif typeface I chose, my initial desire to use water-based ink for the project proved to be an EPIC failure. After about 5 pulls, the ink was drying into the screen, and I was left very discouraged with 245 bags left to print (front and back!). I had to end up using a very thinned down enamel ink which didn’t dry in the screen, and even then, some of the detail would start to get lost from time to time. I had to spot-clean the screen from time to time to begin getting all the details again. The result was perfect, but the bad side of using the enamel ink was the drying time. The bags stayed tacky for about a day! And the fumes were not the best, either. I also had to build a small form to slide into the bag, so I wouldn’t get the texture of the bag when I was screening them. Having a smooth surface to print on is key!
